Our age ranges are flexible and subject to availability. This pre-Montessori room serves as a transitional space where your child is gently prepared for their journey into the Montessori School. Here, we introduce the foundational elements of the Montessori method, fostering an environment that nurtures their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.
We offer exceptional Montessori facilities, including specialised equipment designed to enhance fine motor skills. Our space is filled with opportunities for creativity, featuring arts and crafts materials, a cozy library area, a home corner, and music and movement resources. What your child will love about this room:
Transition from Cygnets to Robins
At our setting, the transition from the Cygnets Room to the Robins Room is a gradual process that takes place over the course of about one month, typically when children are nearing their 2nd birthday. This transition is individualised and depends on each child’s developmental milestones and readiness.
How the Transition Works:
- Gradual Transition: The move to the Robins Room is not immediate; it’s carefully planned to ensure each child is supported through the change. We monitor your child’s progress and adjust the transition based on their specific developmental needs.
- Parental Notification: Parents will be notified when their child is ready to begin the transition to the Robins Room. We’ll provide details on the new routine and how the Robins Room is structured, so you know what to expect.
- Real-Time Updates: During the transition, parents will continue to receive regular updates on their child’s progress via our secure real-time app, allowing you to track how your child is settling into the new room.
Robins Room Routine:
- Children in the Robins and Doves Rooms have breakfast together every morning and join at the end of the day, helping to promote social interaction and a sense of community.
- Free Flow Activities: In the Robins Room, activities are set up at child level to encourage independence and exploration. The room is designed to foster self-directed learning, allowing children to choose activities that interest them while developing key skills.
