Our age ranges are flexible and subject to availability. In our Montessori room, we provide carefully crafted Montessori materials designed to help your child grasp essential concepts for lifelong learning. These precision-made resources encourage hands-on exploration and discovery.
We work in harmony with both the Montessori method and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive approach to your child’s development. About the Doves Rooms
The Doves Room caters to children aged 3 to 4 years old, offering a nurturing and dynamic environment where children can continue to explore, learn, and develop through a variety of engaging activities.
Transitioning Between Rooms:
Just like the transition from Cygnets to Robins, the move from the Robins Room to the Doves Room is gradual and carefully managed. This transition typically happens as children approach their 3rd birthday and is based on their individual developmental stages and readiness.
- Individualised Process: We take a flexible approach, ensuring that each child moves to the Doves Room at a pace that suits their unique developmental needs.
- Parental Communication: Parents are informed in advance when their child is ready to transition and are provided with information about the new routine and setup of the Doves Room. Updates are also shared through our secure real-time app as your child settles into the new environment.
Learning Through Play in the Doves Room:
In the Doves Room, children engage in more advanced learning through both Montessori exercises and child-initiated play. The learning environment continues to foster independence and self-directed exploration, with a focus on developing key skills such as:
- Problem-solving
- Critical thinking
- Social skills through collaborative play
Extra Curriculum Classes:
We also offer a range of specialist classes to broaden the children’s learning experiences:
- Spanish: Children have the opportunity to start learning basic Spanish, developing language skills through fun and interactive activities.
- ICT (Information and Communication Technology): All rooms, including the Doves Room, incorporate ICT into daily learning to introduce children to technology in a safe, engaging way that supports their overall development.
